What Have We Been Busy With?
Queen has been involved in 2 major things in the office. She manages the Office Guesthouse which we have here in Kabete (Nairobi). She has also been involved in doing member care for our missionaries in different countries. That involves reading prayer letters, praying for each missionary, and connecting with them to offer mostly encouragement and support. We have received some feedback from members who have really been encouraged by her prayers and support.Â
She was also recently invited to be part of an AIM team designing a 1-year training program for the organization. The program is being designed to train all new AIM missionaries starting their journey in Africa. If you know Queen you know she loves training and discipleship. She has enjoyed being able to contribute and tap into her experience in training missionaries. Please pray for Queen and the group she works with as they work on this. Pray that the end result will be a program that will be a blessing to AIM and to the Kingdom. Â
Tshepang reads and responds to loads of emails every day. He has also been having lots of meetings virtually. We are grateful that he has been able to connect with all the country leaders in the Region and has had some really encouraging conversations. We are grateful for the relationships he is building with these key leaders. He has also been spending a lot of time leading discussions on Vision and strategy for the Region with the office team. Lethabo says “Daddy’s job is to have lots of meetings“.Â
Please pray for him, his leadership team, and the country leaders as they lead the Region. In the month of September, he will be visiting 2 of our units. He visits the Islands with Chris Power (our Regional Personnel officer) and later on he will visit Mozambique with Mat Linley our Regional Administrative Officer. Please pray for fruitful meetings and that they will encourage these hardworking servants in the 2 countries.Â
The Kids are growing: Last term Lethabo was given an award for the “most confident student” in the school. She has quickly caught up with what other learners are doing and has even started reading. However, shehas struggled with an infection in her tummy. She is on antibiotics to try and flush out this infection. Please pray for complete healing for her.
Ntungamili turned 2 last month. He has since said goodbye to his bottle and is sleeping much better now. That means we are getting more sleep! Yippie! We are grateful for his cheerfulness, many hugs, kisses, and sweet “I love you’s”.Â
